I met Burke at Algonquin College, in the fitness and lifestyle management certificate course, when we were both students there. Burke has been participating in active fitness exercises for several years. He shows leadership qualities with a particular interest in fitness for health. During Gym sessions, he coached me on the skills of exercise training, which had a great effect on my motivations for exercise ever since. He has a very effective approach as a Trainer. He is well informed on the subject, with excellent experience and skill. He has obtained several certifications in Fitness. He is a dedicated Trainer, showing concern for his clients, and has developed an excellent exercise program targeting special population groups.

I was training at the gym three times per week and played hockey two times per week but was not getting the results I wanted. I started training with Burke in the spring. It has been 8 months now and I have lost 135lbs and 24% body fat. Burke helped me by motivating me to work on my diet and with my exercise program. We did a wide variety of exercises such as Kick Boxing, Pilates and weight training.

Burke has an incredibly positive attitude. He is client focused, supportive and always on top of his game. My short term goal was to be able to bench press my own body weight on my 40th birthday and I did just that. Approximately 25 years ago I fell and the stairs and hurt my back. Over the years my back pain worsened and I found myself always in pain and not able to function normally. Burke helped to strengthen my back to the point where I can travel and do my household chores again. This year I went to Alaska, walked on the glaciers and was able to ride on zip cords. I am in better shape today, at 58 years old, than I was at 25.

I have a chronic shoulder injury, and knee and hip problems from 32 years of running. I feel better than I have in the last few years. In order to be a paramedic I had to pass a physical test. In my first attempt, I was unable to pass due to a lack of strength. I had only one more chance to re do the test in six weeks. Thanks to 6 weeks of training with Burke, I crushed the second attempt and have strength to do what it takes to do my job. I now plan to keep up with my training so I can accomplish my other fitness goals.
