Personal Training

Welcome to a new way to workout. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, gain energy, get stronger, or simply move better,my personal training sessions are an effective yet comfortable way to achieve these goals. Exercise doesn’t have to be stressful or painful; in fact, it should be enjoyable.

Personal training starts with a free consultation and initial discussion of your fitness level, lifestyle, goals, and challenges. From there I’ll create a 30-, 45- or 60-minute workout program, designed explicitly for you.(If interested, these one-on-one sessions can be supplemented with a personalized at-home workout program and progress monitoring at no additional charge.)

Training is scheduled at your convenience and hosted in my fully equipped training studio. If you’re outside Ottawa or prefer the comfort of your own home, I also offer one-on-one virtual training.

Virtual training

Achieve your goals from home with personal training that fits your space. Whether you’re training in your living room, garage, or home gym, you can still benefit from the tools, guidance, and support that comes with having your own coach.

All virtual sessions are live, interactive coaching sessions designed to increase accountability and get you to your health and fitness goals.

Precision Muscle Conditioning

Precision-muscle conditioning (PMC) is an exercise-based rehabilitation method that helps identify and strengthen weakened or inefficient muscles. It’s a holistic approach that helps develop the optimum amount of muscular support so that daily activities and sports do not overload certain areas of the body more than others, putting you out of balance and at risk of injury. The result? Free, unrestricted movement. For more information, visit the Precision Muscle Conditioning website.

FAQ

Is precision muscle conditioning (PMC)physiotherapy?

  • PMC is not physiotherapy; it is an exercise rehabilitation system. A certified PMC instructor looks at the body as a whole and uses the muscular system to strengthen the entire body. This ensures fewer issues and the best results while training. PMC clients typically report feeling less pain as well as becoming more flexible and stronger. I like to build the foundations of my fitness plans on PMC but whether we go that route depends entirely on you.

How frequently do I need to come in?

  • Frequency varies from person to person. Some clients do PMC while others go straight into a fitness program. For PMC clients, it typically it takes three to six sessions to stabilize the body before starting a physical activity program. After that, clients usually start with once or twice each week. Some of my weekly clients reduce their frequency to bi-weekly or even monthly once they’ve demonstrated the ability to progress with their exercises on their own.

How many sessions do I need to buy?

  • Clients either prepay for sessions or pay as they go. I want every client to feel comfortable when making a financial investment with personal training, so there’s no need to lock into big personal training packages. I also give refunds for any sessions that aren’t used at any time.

How quickly will I see results?

  • Clients typically feel the results of training sooner than they see them. Most people who start a new exercise program typically report improvements in less pain, sleep, mood, and energy levels within two to three weeks. Changes in body composition often take a little longer to notice but the more consistent you are with your workouts, the sooner the results will be noticeable.

If I buy more sessions, is it cheaper?

  • As a small business, I do not offer deals for purchases of multiple sessions.
